Message Dear Citizens of Idaho,
If you have any information, any tips,no matter how unimportant it may seem, please contact Ahren's mom, Vici Barnard, or Sgt Barnett of the Boise Police Dept. You may be able to provide the piece of the puzzle that will Ahren's mom to bring him home. This can be done by an anonymous phone call from a pay phone, or an anonymous email from a hotmail acct. Mailed from a public computer such as at the library. Or even a note mailed to the Detective in Charge, Sgt Barnett.
Please help to give this mother the peace of at least being able to know where her son is. If you possess any info at all, you could be the one to help make a huge difference in Ahren's moms life. You have the power to give her peace and closure. Please do the right thing. Thank you.

Message Dear Friends of Ahren's,
The Idaho state legislature approved the designation of every September 14th as a day to draw attention to those loved ones who are not forgotten by proclaiming this day as Idaho Missing Persons Day. This day of remembrance and focus on missing persons was an idea of the family of Amber Hoopes, who was abducted from her Idaho home five years ago.

The National Center for Missing Adults put together a press release for The Idaho Statesman, but the paper promptly refused to print anything about this day or the missing in Idaho. Further, they were not willing to write anything about Ahren's disappearance because of his recent custody fight for co-custody of his son, and for the recent falling out with his business partner. Whether either of these issues had anything to do with his disappearance is still being investigated, but in no way should either impact a decision to print the facts of his missing status. The Idaho Statesman behaved in a most arrogant and irresponsible way, in my opinion. Having written at least three articles about Elk on September 14, and none about the 197 missing people in Idaho at this time, I believe shows a total lack of compassion. I question whether their priorities are mirrored by those of their readers.

I also find if horrifying that I can buy an ad for a missing pet, and include a picture, but am not allowed to buy an ad for a missing person!! In nearly two years they have not waivered from their stance on this issue. To the Idaho Statesman, I say, "Shame on you. SHAME on you."

Ahren's Mom, Vicki

Message Crying or very sad Sad Confused The past 22 months have been very sad and difficult for Ahrens family....It is at times like these that you find out how strong the ties you have made in life's journey really are. Walking through the ..WHAT IFS .. and trying to reach anyone that may have a shred of information is an ordeal that has ... NO MAPS, NO CLUES, AND MOST OF ALL COLD COMFORT..... Unless you have walked this path of a missing loved one .... If you read this and have anything that might be something that you have heard, KNOW, or saw ...PLEASE BRING IT TO THE RIGHT PEOPLE.... so Ahren can come home.

Message Vicki,
First thank you for signing my friends guestbook William Smolinski, The circumstances with both of them seem out of their character yet alot of similiarities as young men own their own home, pets left behind and their vehicles at the house, also their age and year they went missing and how much family was important to them. I just want to let you know that I will add Ahren and you to my prayers and I hope you recieve the answer you and those grandkids deserve the worst is not knowing there never seems to be that closure, just the waiting game you are not alone Unfortunatley there are many feeling your pain. Stay strong.
Jen
