Benj,
Christmas day has come and gone, and I didn't hear from you again, which makes me believe you are no longer with us here on earth. You always loved the holidays, and we always spent time together, either in person or via the phone. Never, did a holiday or birthday go by where we didn't speak. I pray you are safe wherever you are. And I pray you know how much you are loved.

Heavenly Father,
On this holy day, as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, I am also reminded of the birth of my precious son. I thank you, God, for this blessing and for the privilege of raising this child. I loved him with all my heart, though I'm sure I made mistakes along the way. We went through growing pains and rough teenage years, but in the end, we love one another, as we are family. I know if there is anyway possible, my son would contact me on Christmas, as it has always been a very special holiday for us. But once again, this Christmas, I did not hear from him. Whatever has happened, I know my son's heart. It is kind and caring. He is a loving son. He would not willingly walk from those he loves. Wherever he is, Father, please bless him, comfort him, and give him your strength and courage. And once again, as I have done for years, I ask, Father, that you please hold him close to your heart, protect him, and let him know that he is truly loved. I trust in you,
Father, and know that he will be found when you will it to be so. Until then, I ask that you bless those who love and care for Ahren and give them the gift of patience; please comfort them as they grieve the loss of their friend; and bless them with hope, until we find the answers to Ahren's disappearance. I also ask, Lord, that you give courage to those who know the truth but are filled with fear. Bless them with courage to come forward and speak the truth, and end this nightmare. I ask these things in Jesus' name, Father, as we celebrate his birth on this holy Christmas day.

Benj, I miss you so much it takes my breath away. I believe you are in heaven looking down on us here as we search for your body. But it is the not knowing for sure that is so terribly hard. If you are alive, you need to let me know. Please, sweetheart, I need to know. And if you have departed this world, we will find your body and put you to rest. I will not give up until you are found, I promise.

"Vicki, I am a good friend of Janice Smolinski's. You both have so much in common, and the support you have for each other is heartwarming. I just wanted to send a short message to let you know that I will have your son in my prayers today, on this his 2nd Anniversary. Also, to tell you to please never give up hope, in your commitment to finding your answers. Janice has never stopped fighting her fight, and her efforts are beginnig to pay off. Through her efforts, things are finally starting to change here in Connecticut for the missing. It may be to late for Jan's son Billy, but she wants to help everyone that has a missing loved one so no one else will have to endure the heartache.
