Ahren’s Story
Ahren (sounds like Aaron) has a big heart and a strong presence . . . he would
walk into a room and people would feel his energy. He believes in and cherishes
family and friends above all else, and has come to the aid of many members of
his extended family on numerous occasions. Very accepting of others, he has friends
in all walks of life and of varying backgrounds. He loves people, and until his
disappearance, was never without his cell phone.
Ahren’s parents were divorced when he was just a toddler, and he has been
emotionally scarred by an uncaring, absent father. Because of this, he takes the
role of a parent very seriously. The proud father of a girl and a boy, he wants
to give his children a loving and supportive dad, and always makes his time with
them special. He would never have left his children for a life without them.
An entrepreneur at heart, Ahren owned, or co-owned, and operated several businesses
in Boise, including a saltwater fish store and aquarium service; a federally
licensed retail gun store; a retail sport bike store and service operation;
and, an online auction service. He always has a number of business ideas he
is developing at any one time, and has a special knack for finding a need and
developing a business to fill it. A hard worker, he puts in very long days on
a regular basis, and understands the fine art of customer service. His near-photographic
memory and high intellect, combined with his customer service and communication
skills, makes Ahren a gifted sales person.
If you like to laugh, you would love to be around Ahren. His quick wit comes
at lightening speed, and he can keep you in stitches for hours. When he’s
with his good friend Robert, they ad lib with one another like a fine tuned
comedy team. Ahren is simply fun to be around. He has a love of music . . .
country, classical, jazz, rock and roll, and other types, but he especially
treasures going to the opera. He rarely watches TV, but greatly enjoys movies
and often goes to the local theaters. He loves being around people and if you
are lucky enough to be considered a friend of Ahren's, he is loyal to the core,
giving you his last dollar; loaning you his car, furniture, money or whatever
you need at the time; helping you through tough times; sharing his home if you
need a place to stay; and simply staying in touch and being there for you. Ahren
is not much of a drinker, but does occasionally go to bars with his friends.
Friends often tease him because he is never without his cell phone. His mom
loved his fondness for communicating, as they spoke often, sometimes daily,
and remained very close through his adulthood.
Ahren disappeared on a Saturday evening (12/04/04) when he returned to his
home after dropping off his young son to the mother for the evening. Ahren had
plans that evening and was going to pick up his son the next morning to continue
their weekend visitation. His last phone call was at 7:15 when he talked with
his roommate. He has not been seen since, but his cars were left in his driveway,
and his cell phone was left behind, along with his drivers license and passport.
He is listed on the FBI's NCIC system as an Endangered Missing Person.
If you have any information regarding Ahren's disappearance, or know some one that does, please come forward and help us find him. Our family would really appreciate any information, even the smallest bit of information may help us find him.
